Factors That Can Affect Your Remodel Schedule
1. Custom vs. Stock Cabinets
In Lewiston, cabinets usually take 6-8 weeks from the day of ordering. While this takes longer than off-the-shelf options, the result is a perfect fit and finish that stock cabinets can’t match.
2. Material Availability
Quartz countertops, special-order hardware, and certain tile styles may take longer to arrive depending on supplier schedules or shipping delays—especially in rural areas like Lewiston and the LC Valley.
3. Permits & Inspections
If you're changing plumbing, electrical, or layout, you may need city permits or inspections. Fortunately, Lewiston’s building department is responsive and often quicker than larger metro areas.
4. Scope of Work
A cosmetic refresh with new cabinet doors and countertops can be done in a few weeks. But a full gut remodel with layout changes, new flooring, and appliance relocation will take longer.
5. Contractor Schedule
During the busy spring and summer months, remodelers in Lewiston, ID may be booked out for several weeks. It's always smart to schedule your project early.
Tips to Stay on Schedule
Finalize your design early to avoid delays
Order materials ASAP after selections are made
